Burdock Takinogawa Long Seeds Organic .
HOW TO GROW BURDOCK :
Step 1
Soak the seeds overnight or for at least 12 hours prior to sowing.Step 2
Sow the seeds directly onto the surface of the soil and lightly cover. Burdock seeds require light to germinate. The soil needs to be loose and to drain well to allow for the development of the long taproot. Moisten and leave in a warm, well-lit or sunny position. Ideal temperatures for germination are 20-25°C/68-77°F but keep them in a location that will remain above 10°C/50°F throughout the germination process. Seeds should germinate within 7-14 days.Step 3
If transplanting from pots, do so once the seedlings have reached 10cm (4 inches) in height. Take care when transplanting as not to damage the primary taproot. The final position should be in full sun. Dig a hole for each seedling that is at least 50cm (20 inches) deep. This will loosen the soil to allow for the taproot to grow. Finish transplanting by watering in the seedlings. Grown in the right season (sprouting by early Spring) Burdock Roots can be ready to harvest in around 120 days.
