Catarina chilli (Capsicum annuum) 25 Seeds
The Catarina chilli is Capsicum Annuum variety, related to Cascabel which produces a nice drop-shape pods.
Peppers are hot and turn from green to red when mature. Peppers are said to have a taste of berry and tobacco flavor. Excellent in salsa, soup, tammales, and other dishes.
The official measure of chili hotness is the Scoville Unit, which ranges from 0 (green bell pepper) to 16,000,000 (pure capsicum).
How to Grow Peppers from Seed
Sow the seeds in individual pots of good quality potting soil at least 6 weeks before you plan to set them out. Barely cover them with soil. Moisten the soil gently so as not to disturb the seeds.
Bottom heat will speed germination considerably.
As soon as the seedlings emerge, move them into bright light and keep protected for the first few weeks.
