HOW TO GROW TRUE CATNIP :

Step 1
Sow 3mm deep directly into ground or small pots. Start indoors for a month before last frost so that they are ready to transplant afterwards. Leave in a bright sunny position but moisten regularly.
Step 2
Don’t allow the soil to dry out. Seeds should germinate after 5-20 days.
Step 3
Space seedlings roughly one foot apart. Don’t overwater during transplanting.
Step 4
Final position should be in part sun where the plant receives morning sun and afternoon shade. True Catmint takes anywhere between 12-15 weeks to flower depending on when they are sown.

True Catnip is native to southern and eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and parts of China.
True Catnip attracts cats, bees and hummingbirds.
Catnip is used as an ornamental for its beautiful lavender flowers. About one-third of cats are not affected by Catnip.
