Jalapenos are one of the more popular varieties of chilli and is grown commercially across warm and tropical regions throughout the world. Plants grow to around 90cm and will produce pods in their first warm season. One Jalapeno plant will produce fruits that vary in heat levels and so caution is advised when handling, cooking or eating. Jalapenos can be picked early while green or left longer until it ripens to a rich red. Harvesting from seed can take between 80-90 days in warm temperatures.
