Popular drought-hardy herb which can smell like Maple Syrup and is native to the dry regions of Egypt, Turkey and Western Asia. The plant is easy to grow from late spring and summer and produces edible, salad leaves within 3 weeks of sowing. Medicinal qualities of Fenugreek have long been debated but as a source of nutrients, it is high in Iron and Protein. Taking just five months from seed to seed harvest, Fenugreek is another easy to grow spice that has a rising popularity in the kitchen.
