The Lisianthus La Petite is a dwarf variety that grows to around 25-30 cm in height.They are a great used as a potted plant, table display or as a border plant in the garden. Lisianthus flowers are a popular cut flower that last up to 2 weeks once cut. Although Lisianthus are naturally perennial in there natural dry, warm habitat they are generally grown as annuals in other climates. Seeds are pelleted for ease of sowing as Lisianthus seeds are tiny and almost dust like. They are not a beginners flower to grow from seed and require patience and care.

Lisianthus is native to Mexico, the Caribbean, Southern parts of the  United States & Northern South America (warm, humid & dry climates)
Lisianthus is a very popular cut flower and is commonly used in bridal bouquets, wreaths and corsages. Some varieties look very much like a mini rose.
