Tropical - Winter and SpringGermination Temperatures: 18°C to 25°C / 65 to 77°F
Start: Can be soaked for a couple of hours in a glass of water and then direct sown into the garden or into pots/tray. In cooler or temperate regions, to get a head start on a long flowering period, sow indoors 6-8 weeks before the threat of frost has passed.
Soil: Moist, well-draining. Fertile, nutrient rich.
Sow: 5 mm deep
pH: 6.0-6.8
Water: Keep Moist, although they are somewhat drought tolerant, they will grow and flower best with regular watering.
Position: Part Shade, Full Shade, Full Sun. In very hot climates a light shaded position is best.
Germination Time: 10-14 days
Transplant: 6-8 weeks. Once they are strong enough to handle with at least 2-4 true adult leaves, earlier if necessary.
Spacing: 25-30 cm
Feeding: Feed with a liquid fertiliser during flowering.
Seed to Flower time: 60-70 days.
