HOW TO GROW KALE :

Step 1
Sow seeds 10mm deep into garden beds of basic garden soil roughly 20cm apart. Keep moist.
Step 2
Seeds should germinate in 10-14 days.
Step 3
Once sprouted, thin out if required.
Step 4
Harvesting can begin within 12 weeks. Harvest the young leaves on the top to encourage rapid regrowth. Can be harvested throughout winter.

Kale was first brought to North America by the colonists in the 16th century.
Kale can survive in temperatures as low as -15°c degrees and can become sweeter after a heavy frost.
Until the end of the Middle Ages, Kale was one of the most common green vegetables in Europe
