Karri Eucalyptus Seeds .
HOW TO GROW KARRI EUCALYPTUS :
Step 1
Sow the seeds onto surface of a well draining seed raising mix and moisten with a light spray bottle to avoid disturbing the seeds and keep moist during the entire germination process. Seeds can be covered very lightly with a sprinkle of soil but this is not necessary. Leave in a warm, well lit position out of direct sunlight.Ideal temperatures for germination are 17-23°C / 65-75°F. Temperatures well out of this range may cause seeds to remain dormant and not germinate until more appropriate weather begins. Seeds should germinate after 2-4 weeks.Step 2
Transplanting seedlings can be done once they are roughly 20cm. This can be a larger pot or can also go into ground at this stage as long as it is not extreme summer or winter conditions. As this species can grow reasonably quickly, a support may be needed with a bamboo or wooden stake.Step 3
Transplant to final position after a last frost. Once established, will survive mild cold but is not frost tolerant. This species also does not tolerate drought very well. Eucalyptus take on average 8-10 years to mature.
