Drooping She Oak (Allocasuarina verticillata) 100 seeds
Small to medium sized tree, grey-green crown usually rounded, branchlets mostly drooping. At maturity it forms a spreading tree with a relatively dense weeping canopy. Branchlets long and pendulous of delicate, grey-green foliage to 40cm, fairly thick and visibly ribbed.Male and female flowers on different trees, cones large and barrel-shaped with sharp ‘valves’. Bark dark grey, hard and fissured with a horizontally-striped trunk. Will be most suitable for sites where it can be allowed to maintain its natural form, including low branching.
