Narrow Leaf Bottle Tree has a swollen bottle like trunk. The insignificant flowers followed by small interesting boat like pods. A very attractive specimen tree or useful indoor plant. The name 'Bottle tree' is from it's characteristic trunk, which can reach a 2m diameter and a height of 18m. Found in central Qld through to northern NSW, the characteristic bottle shape stores water between the inner bark and the trunk. It starts to develop in approx 5 to 10 yrs. The tree is deciduous to semi-deciduous, also tolerant to a variety of climates and soil types.
