HOW TO GROW NORWAY SPRUCE :
Step 1
Place seeds into a zip lock bag with some moist but not wet soil such as peat or seed raising mix. Leave in the fridge for around 3 weeks. Soak seeds for 24 hours in water.Step 2
After, sow each seed about 3mm deep into seed trays or small pots of garden soil Moisten and then move into a part-sun position. Seeds should germinate after 3-4 weeks.Step 3
Transplant seedlings a week after sprouting or if in pots, wait until root bound and then transplant either directly into the ground or larger pot.Step 4
Transplant to final position after last frost. Once established, will survive severe cold and Not require much watering. Norway Spruce can take between 15-50 years to reach maturity.

Old Tjikko is a Norway Spruce in Sweden that is considered the oldest living tree in the world at around 9550 years.
Every Christmas, Norway’s capital city, Oslo,provides the cities of London, Edinburgh and Washington D.C. with a Norway spruce as a sign of gratitude for the aid these countries gave during the Second World War.
The tree is the source of spruce beer which was once used to prevent and even cure scurvy.
