Temperate - Mid-Winter to Early Autumn
Sub-Tropical - All Year
Tropical - All Year.
NOTE: in sub-tropical to tropical zones grow
in shady areas to avoid the hot summer sun.
Growing Temperatures: -10-40°C / 14-100°F
Start: In pots or straight into the garden when weather is warm enough.
Soil: Moist well draining soil is preferred but not essential.
Sow: Surface sow and then cover very lightly.
pH: 5.6-7.8
Water: Keep Moist but not wet.
Position: Full Sun. Part Shade in warm climates.
Germination Time: 10-14 days in ideal temperatures
Transplant: Avoid if possible.
Spacing: Allow 10 cm (4 inches) between seedlings.
Feeding: Not generally necessary if soil is nutrient and compost rich.
Companion plants: Cabbage, asparagus, beans, cucumbers, onion,
brussels sprouts, broccoli. Plant near fruit trees to protect from fungal diseases.

Harvest: Leaves and flowers can be harvested from around 6-8 weeks in ideal conditions
