Purple Appleberry (Billardiera longiflora) 20 Seeds
The most striking feature of the Purple Apple-berry Billardiera longiflora
is definitely the large fleshy electric-blue berries that hang pendulously amongst the shiny dark green foliage.
The berries are occasionally white and occur during summer.
This ornamental twiner is native to the cool moist forests of south-eastern Australia and grows to around 3m tall in a protected postion with partial or full shade and moist well-drained and composted soil. It flowers for a long time over the spring and summer, producing individual creamy green bell-shaped flowers that are tinged with purple.
They can be propagated from seed with the aid of smoked vermiculite which is also available in our ebay store.
