White Leaved Mallee (Eucalyptus albida) 50 Very Fresh Seeds
An attractive small tree, Eucalyptus albida is commonly called the White-Leaved Mallee.
It is the colour of the new leaves that give it the common name, they are a smokey greenish white and rounded. The mature leaves are a deeper green and lanceolate in shape.
Reaching around 3 metres in height, creamy white flowers appear in summer and attract bees and birds to the garden.
The new foliage is widely used in floral arrangements and this is a species that can be coppiced to promote the attractive new growth.
The round juvenile leaves are waxy white and often used in dry flower arrangements. Adult leaves are glossy dark green and lanceolate 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 in) in length. Creamy-white flowers occur between November and January.
Typically grows to a height of 3 metres with a smooth often powdery white or greenish-grey bark.Found commonly through the inland portion of Southwest Australia, particularly in the southern Wheatbelt egion.
